[REVIEW] NEW Bifesta Micellar Cleansing Lotion – Celine Chiam | Singapore Lifestyle, Beauty and Travel Blogger
Many people agree that proper removal of makeup and cleansing is the key to preventing clogged pores and breakouts. Putting on makeup is not entirely the reason behind clogged pores and breakouts. It is in fact the improper cleansing that leaves all the makeup impurities stuck in the pores. Sounds disgusting isn’t it? This is why cleansing is very important and we have to ensure that they are effective and thorough. Including a Micellar Cleansing Lotion into your skincare routine is one of the ways to ensure a more thorough cleanse. I’ll show you how the new reformulated Bifesta Micellar Cleansing Lotion can be both more effective in removing makeup and gentler on the skin at the same time!
Here’s an interesting fact: “Bifesta” actually means “Beauty Festival” in Japanese! They are also the pioneer in introducing water-based makeup removers in Japan. Bifesta offers a wide range of makeup removers, from Micellar Cleansing Lotion to Makeup Remover Wipes and Carbonated Facial Foam.
What’s interesting about this new range of Micellar Cleansing Lotion is that it is now formulated with a refined micellar technology, using micelles of the smallest size ever. Micelles are basically the cleansing agent in all the micellar water/lotion. This way, you get to remove more makeup with lesser wipes and less tugging of the skin.
Another key point? All Bifesta Micellar Cleansing Lotions are 100% free of Oil, Alcohol, Paraben, Fragrance, Colourant.
Here’s me using one cotton pad soaked with 2 pumps of Bifesta Micellar Cleansing Lotion to completely remove my eye makeup. That includes eyeshadow, eyebrow pencil and even waterproof eyeliner.
In fact, you can also easily remove most of the makeup just through one swipe.
Well, let’s just say I am impressed! I usually use makeup wipes (truth is, I used to use bifesta makeup wipes previously), but I don’t mind alternating with a cleansing lotion for use at home as this also feels moisturising. Water-based cleansing lotion like these are better in a way that it doesn’t leave the greasy or oily afterfeel. Don’t belittle this Micellar Cleansing Lotion thinking that its makeup removal power is not as strong as compared to using cleansing oils. It was really easy for me to remove all my makeup with just a few cotton pads soaked with the cleansing lotion. If you happen to have sensitive skin like me, it’s also better to go for products that are free of harmful chemicals like paraben, alcohol and fragrance. Ultimately, it is a personal choice to choose between makeup remover wipes, micellar water, cleansing oil etc. Most importantly, you should choose a product that your skin loves.
Bifesta Micellar Cleansing Lotion also comes in FIVE different types: BRIGHT UP, SEBUM, MOIST, ACNE CARE and ENRICH.
Micellar Cleansing Lotion Brightup contains Vitamin C and AHA’s lactic acid. It helps to remove dead skin cells and blackheads for clearer and brighter skin, with reduced blackheads overtime.
Micellar Cleansing Lotion Sebum contains Green tea extract to tighten pores and eliminate excess sebum and impurities from pores. This is suitable for combination to oily skin.
Micellar Cleansing Lotion Moist contains moisturising absorbent Amino acid and Hyaluronic acid to give excellent hydration and keep skin supple. Like the name suggests, it’s suitable for dry to combination skin.
Micellar Cleansing Lotion Acne Care – In this variant, there are triple acne care ingredients (anti-inflammatory ingredient, antibacterial ingredient & absorbent Hyaluronic Acid) which are capable of fighting acne, preventing future breakouts and promoting skin turnover process for healthy and clear skin.
Finally, the last one – Micellar Cleansing Lotion Enrich – This contains Coenzyme Q10 and Ceramide to improve skin elasticity and radiance, making it suitable to promote firm, radiant and bouncy skin with natural glow of youth.
This would do the best in summarising the different uses and benefits of the five types of Bifesta Micellar Cleansing Lotion:
