Jelly masks has been the next in thing in the beauty world, especially in Taiwan. Recently, I got to try out these cooling jelly masks from Taiwan, created by Annie Wu. Jelly masks are especially cooling but there’s more benefits to it!

I got myself two jelly masks thanks to SASA, and one of them is the best seller, Arbutin + Hyaluronic Acid Brightening Jelly Mask. The other one is their new addition to the family, the Rose Essence Jelly mask.

Not much difference between the two actually.

Arbutin + Hyaluronic Acid Brightening Jelly Mask (BLUE) is priced at $32.90 and is more suited for dry skin. It helps to whiten, moisturise and minimize fine lines, leaving the skin significantly brighter and fresher.

On the other hand, the Rose Essence Jelly mask helps to nourish and repair skin. It includes Red rose, white rose and black rose extracts, with whitening and rejuvenating effects.

The steps to using these jelly masks are really cool, literally too. The beauty advisor who was demonstrating at the event emphasized that we have to be really generous when it comes to applying the jelly masks. It has to be at least 0.3-0.5 cm thick on our skin in order for it to be useful. One of the cool feature about jelly masks is that through the process of masking, you get to dissolve and soften the blackheads. So when removing, scraping forcibly may end up scraping away the blackheads as well!

If you are up to the hard work required to use the jelly mask, such as having to apply the mask, scrap off the residue and then wash it off, go for the jelly masks! I must say this masking technique need some diligence so be prepared. Other than that, I absolutely love the cooling sensation it gives me when the jelly mask is on my face. 🙂

Thank you SASA for the invitation! 🙂
