Sydney Famous Gumshara Ramen | Sydney Travelogue – Celine Chiam | Singapore Lifestyle, Beauty and Travel Blogger

Like all travellers, I do a quick search on “Must-eats in Sydney” or “Best food places in Sydney” when I was on my Aussie trip few weeks back. You bet, GUMSHARA was one of the top few in the list and I know I have to visit and do a review on it, and perhaps include in my Aussie Travelogue so that Singaporeans don’t give this gem a miss! At first, I was really expecting to step into some sort of Ramen Restaurant at least like the famous Thai Restaurant Chat Thai, but to my surprise, I land myself at some underground food court in Sydney’s Chinatown!

It was at first really hard to find this place because most reviews did not say that Gumshara Ramen is merely a food stall in the food court in Sydney’s Chinatown. I was all looking for a Jap restaurant and wasted a good 15-20mins trying to find Gumshara Ramen. Anyway, it’s here at the basement food court called Eating World Food Court.

Gumshara Ramen is a humble store tucked right in the corner of the food court. But you can easily spot it during peak hours because there’ll be queue streaming from the reception.

For the price I am paying and compared to the other choices in Sydney, Gumshara is definitely worth every penny and in fact, too good to be true! Your first sip can tell you that their soup broth is really thick and can only be achieved after long hours of simmering pork bones and meat. Plus, if you would like to have something cheap in Sydney, don’t give this a miss!
