ORIGINS Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask Review – Celine Chiam | Singapore Lifestyle, Beauty and Travel Blogger
It didn’t take long for beauty enthusiasts to go about trying this beauty brand – Origins, as soon as it’s made available in Singapore. Loving how the brand name suggests, all its products are made from natural ingredients like potent plants, essential oils and different organic ingredients for different product types. I’m very pleased to be trying out one of the Origins best seller – Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask, and I’m gonna give it to this product hands down for its purifying and de-clogging efficacies. Read on and find out why I love this product so much.
The ORIGINS Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask is meant for its clearing pores effect. Acting like a magnet, this mask would draw out any impurities off the clogged pores while the white China Clay absorb away any traces of environmental pollutants. Comes with Lecithin ingredient, it dissolves impurities for easy removal while washing off the charcoal mask. You won’t believe but I actually spot one or two small bumps surfacing the day after the night of application and it was gone on the third day.
Actually, lathering the charcoal mask was quite a fun thing to do too! Haha.
Directions:
Apply thin layer of ORIGINS charcoal mask around the face, avoid the eyes.
Wait for 10-15mins to dry. Rinse off.
My thoughts about this mask:
You can tell from the photo that it was quite a fun experience apply the mask for me. Thankfully there wasn’t any awful smell from the mask so it was alright. The mask lathers on very easily and you can actually decide how thick a layer you would like to have. Of course the thicker it is, the longer it takes to dry. The thickness of the mask I have here in this photo is considered moderate, and it took only about 10 minutes to dry completely.
Throughout the process of drying, it gives a minimal tingling and tightening effect. After the mask dries up, I’ll wet my fingers and rub the mask in a circular motion around my whole face before I really rinse the mask off. This isn’t indicated in the instructions but I thought I would just top it off with this additional step for a better and more thorough cleansing. After washing off, my face feels instantly refreshed and smooth.
It requires very simple steps but the only down side is you need to keep the mask on for 10 mins at least, which takes up time. Of course you can be like me, I do work while I wait for the mask to dry and time just passes really quickly.

Why would you need this mask?
Honestly, after I’ve came so far, going through the worse acne outbreak in my life ever, I realize taking care of our skin is one hell of a tough job. But there’s also two main things if you would want me to summarize my beauty regime: make sure you keep your skin cleansed and hydrated. These are the two main things that I am concerned and I think a purifying mask would work very well for the cleansing aspect.
