Hello everyone, I’m back with another review post with DRx!

Read the comprehensive DRx products review here.

*I have an important news to announce at the end of this post*

I can’t really remember how bad my skin previously was, so let’s have a before and after photo of my face throughout this few months of using DRx products diligently.

I am thankful to say that I do not suffer from any ache or pigmentation problems. But sometimes life is fair, when you don’t have this, you have something else. As much as my skin is considered smooth and non-bumpy, I will have occasionally outbreaks especially during my period. This is a small matter compared to my dull and extremely uneven skin complexion.

For one who is only 22 years old this year, I am really depressed to see this dull-looking skin. It didn’t help at all when I have hereditary eye bags which makes me look more listless and olddddddd. That’s how dull skins will make you look like. I am suspecting that one of the reason behind the dull-looking complexion of mine is the fact that I only started using facial sunscreen on a daily basis just last year. I used to hate the greasiness of sunscreen and impact of not using suncreen just hasn’t hit me hard yet.

For cleansing, I am now using the DRx Chira Wash which is catered more for dry skin users.

Chira-Wash is a scientifically advanced, chirally-correct gel for all skin types that gently cleanses without stripping the skin surface of its natural protective lipids. Containing Glycerin, it adds extra moisturizing effects to the skin, leaving it silky and rejuvenated.

I also have the Milk cleanser which acts as makeup remover, as well as Toner for double cleansing!

For the longest time in my life, I have always been plagued with blackheads problem. The visible black dots around my nose is seriously unsightly and disgusting. My friend once mocked me for having so much blackheads ( hei tou ) on the nose. And I’ve finally found the right product to rectify this problem.

I can vouch with 100% integrity that the DRx comedone formula is the best product ever that heals and reduces the amount of blackheads on my nose. It can’t be more obvious and evident when I can no longer FEEL the blackheads bump on the nose after just 2 weeks of application. Few months down the road, I am still loving this product greatly because they really help reduce my blackheads a lot. Having said that, only apply Comedone Formula on affected areas (blackheads) because it tends to dry your skin a little.

To tackle my eye area, I have the DRx eye cream to apply around my eye area. I’ve been using it for quite some time but there aren’t very visible results.

And finally, I have MAX-C and Hydrator to apply around the whole skin.

But recently I’ve been having this problem of severe drying skin. Really super dry and…. BAD for a 22 years old. Every time I smile, or make any big facial expression, I can feel the tightness and tearing effect on my face. Haha a bit exaggerating but my skin is really dry. I can see many lines around my cheek and eye areas whenever I smile. I once voiced out to my doctor and was prescribed the DRx Hydrator. However, the hydrator doesn’t seem to be hydrating and moisturizing enough.

So for the last visit, I voiced out this concern again and was prescribed Rejuvenator and Hyaluronic Moisturizer.

Hyaluronic Moisturizer is a natural moisturizer for all skin types with Hyaluronic Acid microspheres supplemented with Squalane for superior moisturizing, increased smoothness, softening and reduction of wrinkles. Hyaluronic Acid has been shown to be an integral component in rapid and scar-less wound healing and is the ideal post-laser and post-peeling moisturizer.

Rejuvenator is a non-oily formulation with a combination of Glycosaminoglycans (GAG) Complex, which aids in the prevention of collagen break down and a blend of vitamins and minerals. It moisturizes, protects and stimulates cell renewal and turnover, resulting in firmer skin and reduction in the appearance of fine lines.

But now, we finally know how important sunscreen is. Sunscreens protect your skin from the harmful UVA and UVB rays, which results in premature aging. Premature aging includes signs like wrinkles, dry skin, loss of elasticity of skin (sagging) and pigmentation. If you want to slow down and mitigate these unsightly symptons, you better start putting sunscreen everyday now!

Here are DRx’s sunscreens, that come with 5, 5A and 5B are different sunscreens for different types of skin. Sunscreen 5B is a non-tinted sunscreen while 5 & 5A are tinted sunscreens, which are great to serve as basic foundation coverage too.

Here’s the non-tinted version:

Finally, the announcement 🙂

Frequent readers probably know that I was previously sponsored by DRx for my face. Sad to say, I am no longer sponsored by them because good things always come to an end! So this is officially my last post for DRx. I’m still very grateful that they are really generous with their products to take care of my skin and complexion, but when at a point of time my sponsor gets too busy to take care of my skin, it’s time for me to turn to another one. I have quite a few sponsored products to review and I figured it’ll be good not to be restricted to just one skincare sponsor.

Nonetheless, I am still open up to questions if you have any and I’m willing to help 🙂

Leave a comment, on ask me on instagram like how others do (@chiamhuiy).

Love,

Celine
