Celebrating Mid Autumn Festival @ Lim Bang Shopping Mall – Celine Chiam | Singapore Lifestyle, Beauty and Travel Blogger

Last Sunday was the Mid Autumn Festival! Just by seeing my Instagram feed filled with photos and photos of mooncakes makes me wanna immerse in this joyous occasion. How did you spend your Mid Autumn Festival? Did you head out for a traditional celebration? Well, I kind of did! I was at Lim Bang Shopping Mall that evening to check out how the residents in Choa Chu Kang enjoy the festival with what HDB has prepared for them. Let’s check out what activities were lined up for them!

So as I was saying, I dropped by LimBang Shopping Mall to find quite a few booths specially prepared for the residents. There were caricature, mooncake redemption, riddles guessing and even lantern making workshop for the kids. I’m pretty sure I would bring my kid down if I have one! Just check out how happy these kids were while making their lanterns!

Can you guess the answer to this riddle? 😉

Kids and parents can also get their caricature drawn, and I wasn’t excluded!

My artist drew caricatures really fast, and completed mine within 2-3 mins!

So I got my caricature drawn and here’s how it looks like! Didn’t know my eyes were soooo small hahaha. Oops! One thing for sure is that I love the shades being drawn into the caricature too.

Kids also get to flaunt their artistic skills by drawing with the materials provided, including decorating their lanterns for the first time.

Residents at Choa Chu Kang area also get to redeem mooncakes from this event.

I bet you didn’t realise HDB Shopping Centres can be so lively and happening, isn’t it? Apparently the one near my place, which is Yew Tee Square, also had events lined up for such special occasions.
