Otah buns have been such a craze lately, especially during Covid period where everyone is stucked at home and this is probably one of the easiest snacks to make whenever one is hungry. The otah bun
craze did not slow down a bit ever since since it’s so widely available online at a pretty decent price. Craving for an otah bun snack now? Let’s see whether these otah buns from Bao Wow is good!
The first one we must try is definitely the original bun. What is sandwiched inside these soft fluffy buns are wild caught spanish mackerel by line. Spicy level wise I find it acceptable, I have tried another brand that is even more spicy and it’s a little too much to be honest. This is definitely well-balanced.
My parents also commented that these otah buns from Bao Wow are less saltier then the X brand they have tried.
Want something new apart from original buns? They also have the Charcoal Otah Bun (above) and Pandan Otah Bun (not pictured).
Personally I don’t find a big difference between the two, both taste great. 🙂
I was pretty satisfied with the thickness of the Otah in between.
Also the last I checked, the buns are on discount now! 5 buns for $7 is quite affordable. That makes it $1.40 per bun only!
The buns will be packed in 5 so that you can keep the freshness of the buns if you cannot finish all at one go. They’re also delivered in a styrofoam box when I carted out 20 buns in total.
