Can’t believe how time flies, and August is coming to an end very very soon.. I am just a few days away to the end of my project, and I honestly couldn’t wait for it to end. Because of this hectic schedule for the past months, I haven’t been taking care of my wealth-being much, least to say my skin. Despite that, I still manage to take some time to try out this two new products from aromatica, Korean organic brand since 2011.
We all know Korea for their groundbreaking research for beauty, makeup and skincare. So when I got hold of two of their best-selling items – Rose Absolute First Serum and Tea Tree Balancing Emulsion, I didn’t hesitate to try them out.
Rose Absolute First Serum ($59).
If you’re a fan of rose-related products, you should definitely give this a try. Lightly scented with flavours of roses, the Rose Absolute First Serum is a highly concentrated organic toner + serum. The key ingredients here are Premium Quality Damask Rose Oil, Organic Aloe Vera Leaf Extract and Organic Herb Extracts, which makes it very gentle, even on dry and sensitive skin. Instead of using water (aqua), aromatic uses Organic Aloe Vera extract as one of its main ingredient. I wouldn’t say it has the lightest texture for a serum, but the texture is just right. It leaves a layer of moisture on my skin with just 3-4 drops. At the start, my skin feels really hydrated right after application. But overtime, I noticed minimised pores and reduced fine lines.
What makes me feel comfortable about trying this is knowing it has been clinically proven to be hypoallergenic, therefore safe to use for Dry, Combination, Sensitive skin.
TIP: I enjoy lightly patting my skin to better aid the absorption.
Moving on is aromatica Tea Tree Balancing Emulsion ($59).
For someone with rather dry yet sensitive skin, I need an emulsion that isn’t too rich. Good thing is, this lightweight emulsion balances moisture and oil of sensitive oily skin, while also controls excess sebum and prevents breakouts. Over time, I did notice that my skin doesn’t get irritated so easily. This calming emulsion does soothe my skin.
The key ingredients here are Tea Tree Leaf extract, Tamarind Seed Polysaccharide, Glycosaminoglycan, Herb extracts. As we are well-aware, Tea Tree can be a great help against acne-prone skin. For combination skin types, it is usually recommended to use the Rose Absolute First Serum as toner, before using the Tea Tree Balancing Emulsion as moisturiser. That’s how I use them too!
As it’s very moisturising, make sure you don’t over-apply. It doesn’t work that way!
