新年快乐!! – Celine Chiam | Singapore Lifestyle, Beauty and Travel Blogger
Happy CNY people!
How was your cny? 😉 😉 😉
If I can, I would choose not to believe that cny is already over. Only once a year festive occasion, how could three days of holiday just passed like that?! Now I have to wait another year for it again 🙁
Some people say they don’t have the cny mood, some people dreading it because relatives will started probing many things about you, your life, your relationship etc etc. But for me, I like CNY because of many things!
1. It has got to be all the CNY goodies we’ll be eating~
Chinese new year is one of the rare occasion I’m indulge in any food without a second thought. I mean, come on, diet can come after all my cny goodies! If not, exercise can come after cny is over! How could I miss the chance to eat all these yummy goodies ^.^ What’s your favourite? Personally, I like love-letters with porkfloss in it (I bought from bkk) and nice pineapple tarts! OH, NOT forgetting keuh lapis.
2. Spend some time dolling up myself.
I did this manicure on the morning of cny day 1 because my attempt the previous night failed badly, and it was about 2am already and I know I can’t continue anymore. So I did this the next morning! I will post up a tutorial on how to do this valentine-leopard nails, which I’ve learnt from a super good you-tuber: CutePolish
All thanks to my friends who bought this red little handbag for me for my birthday, it totally saved me from shopping for a bag for cny! I honestly like how small it is.
CNY is also one of the very rare occasion I will put up full makeup. That’s cause I really dislike putting so much eyeliner and mascara (worse will by fake eyelash and contact lens!) because they can get so uncomfortable the moment I applied them. If they say there’s no ugly woman but lazy woman, can I add something like, how about woman who doesn’t want to tolerate such uncomfortableness? That will be me. 🙁
This was a dress I got from velvetdoll sales, and I kept it until now to wear it. So basically, I did zero shopping for CNY, and I’m sooo proud of myself hahaha.
I love my wedges too! It’s very very comfortable to walk on.
And of course,
3. Get all the angbaos!!!
4. Spending time with my family
No elaboration needed! As you grow older, you will start seeing the need to spend more time with your parents because as you are growing older, they are growing older at the same time. With the hectic schedule and life nowadays, only festive occasions really give you plenty of time to spend with your parents and really bond together 🙂
Every Cny day 1, all of us will head to my grandma house for gathering! And we’ll literally spend the whole day there.
And let’s say hello to my nephew!!
He’s such a cutie when he smile. And the best part? He smiles and laughs a lot ^.^
But because his teeth are growing, sometimes it gets a little uncomfortable so he pouts a little!
But still a cutie-pie!!!
He’s 8 months old now!
The kids of my cousins!
And because my cousins are all 10 over years older than me, we started seeing more new members to the family!
Here’s the ‘nursing room’ hahaha.
And that’s the amount of people I’ll usually see on cny day1 !
CNY Day 2!
I put on a yellow versatile dress and paired with the same white belt because it goes well with the dress!
Went over to sy’s house to pay a visit to her grandmother and parents.
I also visited my godparents house to lunch too!
Just a simple lunch but it’s really good enough to catch up with everyone here.
And while taking the bus which was a long journey back from sengkang to woodlands, I played uno with sy with my mini uno deck! TOO CUTE!
Hope you had a wonderful CNY!! 😀
And happy valentine’s day!
