Ask me what's the most important skincare products I can't live without, it'll definitely be sunscreen protection, and I meant sunscreen for the face. You can have the best skincare regime, best skincare products costing you hundreds and thousands of dollars, but that's not going to last if you don't protect your skin. As I always believe, prevention is better than cure, and sunscreen protection is the least we can do to protect our skin.
Which is why, I've been trying out all sorts of sunscreen protection, be it tinted or non-tinted. This time round, I'm glad to be trying out Neutrogena Sunscreen. Let's see how the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch SPF 50+ PA+++ and Neutrogena Ultra Sheer UV Waterlight SPF 50+ PA+++ perform!
We have all heard of Neutrogena, and I've been trying them since I'm a teen. Being the #1 dermatologist recommended suncare brand in USA, it also has a wide range of cleansers, make-up removers, moisturizers and whitening solutions.
Do you know all Neutrogena Sunscreens comes with their Neutrogena Helioplex Technology?
This technology contains FDA-approved sunscreens covering the full UVA and UVB spectrum, which helps to protect our skin from the harmful UV light. Unlike other sunscreens where their protection breaks down under sun exposure, the Neutrogena Helioplex Technology prevents this from happening by stabilizing UVA protection so that your sun protection can lasts over a longer period of time (up to 5 – 6 hours).

How to choose the right sunscreen?
Two things to note when we pick our sunscreens. One is the SPF protection, and the other is the PA rating.
SPF, also known as the Sun Protection factor, measures how long you can stay in the sun without the sunscreen before getting burned. To put it simply, the higher the number, the longer you can stay under the sun before you get burnt. However, SPF is not enough to keep you protected, as it only protects you from UVB rays and not UVA.
Which is why the PA rating is equally important because it indicates the protection against UVA rays. The more the “+” signs it has, the higher the UVA protection. Something new to me as well: Protection against UVA rays is important because UVA rays have a longer wavelength and they penetrate deeper into the skin, contributing to premature aging and skin cancer.

I did a quick swatch between the two sunscreens and you can guess it, the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer UV Waterlight SPF 50+ PA+++ is much more sheer and lightweight because it's for the face. It's more watery and is easily spread across our face too. On the other hand, the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch SPF 50+ PA+++ is slightly thicker since it's for both the face and the body, but not as thick as the common sunscreen we have in the market. It's still easily spreadable as well, and can I tell you how much I like it to be so versatile, and can be used for both the face and the body? :)
Don't simply think that sunscreen is only needed during hot sunny days. You can aslo get sun damaged even on a cloudy day. In fact, up to 80% of the sun’s rays can penetrate light clouds, mist, and fog.
So please, get yourself protected with Neutrogena Sunscreens today!!
